Trendiest Södermalm breakfast

Oh, Stockholm. Oh, Södermalm. Stockholm truly is one of those cities where I'd love to live for the rest of my life, and I'd be ready to move right away! I think the city should just adopt me as one of its own. But also, Stockholm is a city of too many temptations. With its endless trendy cafes, healthy restaurants, bars, and shopping opportunities – I would get in trouble with my credit cards pretty fast. I managed to do a lot of damage in our 7 days in the city last week, of which more than 100€ went to green smoothies. Oops. I mean, I'm still considering moving there in the next years to do my master's degree.

Anyway, to the point. Södermalm is somewhat the hipster district of Stockholm. The neighbourhood is located only a few metro stops from the city centre. Södermalm is a tad cheaper than the center, and offers a wider variation for eating out and shopping – often with better quality too! Södermalm is covered with cute cafés that serve healthy Instagrammable breakfasts all week long! I did my best to visit as many as possible in my one week of Stockholming.

Cafe Pom & Flora is perhaps the trendiest café in all Södermalm, if not in all Stockholm. So trendy, that their website refers to Instagram for more information. Though, the Instagram page doesn't really give justice to what a fabulous place Cafe Pom & Flora really is.

I had breakfast at Cafe Pom & Flora with two of my dear local friends who had just arrived home from their adventure in Iran. As always, I was a tad late and had to call up my friends to reserve the prettiest marble table with most natural light – they know me by now and have stopped questioning my Instagramming needs.

But seriously, the best thing in Stockholm is how easy it is to eat healthy on the go. I am a bit of a lazy cook, but I adore healthy food above all. I wish Helsinki had more places like this to offer, but so far all cafes, smoothies, and salads are lacking such fabulousness that the marvelous city of Stockholm has on offer. I kind of secretly want to start my own cafe, anyone want to fund me? Haha!

The vegan-friendly Cafe Pom & Flora serves all the glorious flavors from smoothie bowls to avocado toasts and from chia pudding to fresh vegetable juices. I enjoyed an oat milk cappuccino and an acai bowl with bee pollen and bananas for breakfast. Hello, foodie heaven. For the way home, I also grabbed a kale juice for the go!

I can highly recommend stopping at  Cafe Pom & Flora for breakfast or a coffee break when in Stockholm!

I will be sharing more café & smoothie bar tips for Stockholm in the next weeks, so stay tuned!
