Up to Victoria Peak, Hong Kong

Sure Victoria Peak is the-must-see-place in Hong Kong and that one place each and every tourist will visit during their stay in the world's most exciting city. No matter how off-the-path your travel style is, Victoria Peak is something you should simply not miss on your trip to Hong Kong. Trust me on this one, and hope for perfect weather. The best way to get up to the Peak is to get on the world's oldest and steepest tram or, to walk.

As I've lived in Hong Kong and visited Victoria Peak several times before, I know exactly how it's best experienced. If you are taking the tram to get up to Victoria Peak, you will avoid all tourist crowds if you visit by 9am or after 9pm. Seriously, any other time will force you to queue up forever, but if you go early or late, you can literally walk straight to the tram. For tickets, it's enough to take the cheapest one without the Sky Terrace as you will see another fabulous place to enjoy the view (where I'm standing in the photos).
