Oh Shanghai, you sexy little thing. Shanghai ended up being a city where I spent the 4 best days of my life. Four days may seem short, but to me it was like a lifetime (in a good way) and I got to know the city better than my own pockets. Many of you know my mad love for roof top bars around the world and Shanghai happens to have a ton of those. Here are my favourite rooftop bars in Shanghai.

Cloud 9 is Shanghai's tallest bar and it is located in the upstairs of Grand Hyatt hotel, on the Pudong side. Cloud 9 is not the nr. 1 choice for the budget traveller, but darling, you should at least head up for one drink to admire the view. And meanwhile you are there, the view from The Shanghai World Financial Center is worth checking out.

Captain Bar might be the most clever finding from my Shanghai adventure! Finally a rooftop bar for budget travellers! Captain Bar is located in the upstairs of a hostel and the drinks are dirty cheap (also, not the tastiest). The bar is not the highest of the city, but the view is more stunning than one would expect.

CHAR Bar might just be the place for the best view of the city. CHAR is a rooftop bar located in the upstairs of Hotel Indigo. The outdoor seating area comes with fabulous music and tasty cocktails. Again, not the cheapest choice for a night out - but one to remember!

Flair is located on the 58th floor of The Ritz-Carlton hotel on the Pudong side of Shanghai. Flair might be the world's most beautiful rooftop bar, at least to my opinion. Flair is the perfect choice for cocktails and some finger food after a long day of exploring around the marvel that is Shanghai. It's a good idea to make a reservation!
