St. Peter Line from Helsinki to St. Petersburg

We jumped on board St. Peter Line Marina from Helsinki on a Saturday afternoon to head to St. Petersburg. The boat got to St. Petersburg the next morning. The boat ride went by fast as we enjoyed some cocktails at the outdoor Skybar with live music and some sushi at Sushibar Kampai. In the morning, we enjoyed DeLuxe breakfast onboard.

In Helsinki, we were advised to get ready for embarkation 15 minutes prior to arrival - but I guess all the other passengers go the same tip too. Next we got to passport control, which took a while to get through too - but next, we got to the city quickly with St. Peter Line bus! :)

That perfect morning in St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg took me by surprise with its European touch. For some stereotypical reasons I thought I was in for a mad city but St. Petersburg turned out to be extremely beautiful and peaceful with tons of lovely cafes. The perfect way to start a day is either at Coffee 22 or Bonch.

Nähtävyydet ja shoppailu

After breakfast, we headed to explore some of the sights. We had just enough time to see the famous Winter Palace, Saint Isaac's Cathedral & The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. Next, we were off to do some shopping on the main street, Nevski Prospekt. After that, we headed to Galeria shopping mall, where I found some of my favourite stores like Stradivarius and Zara Home.

Vegetarian lunch

I found some great vegetarian places from CreateTrips app - like Ukrop. Seriously, super delicious. St. Petersburg loves it's sour cream so most meals aren't fully vegan, but they'll easily adjust to your wishes here!
